A new confocal microscope, Leica Stellaris 8 Dive, has been installed at the UBC Bioimaging facility!
The Leica Stellaris 8 confocal system is capable of multi-color, 3D imaging, tiling and stitching, multi-point imaging, Fluorescence Recovery After Photobleaching (FRAP) with 4 tunable HyD detectors and 4 solid laser lines (405, 488, 561 and 638 nm). The upright microscope system is equipped with the Spectra physics Insight X3 dual pulsed-lasers, allowing us to perform multi-color multi-photon imaging, Fluorescence Life Time Imaging Microscopy (FLIM), FLIM-FRET (forster resonance energy transfer), Second Harmonic Generation (SHG) and Third Harmonic Generation (THG) imaging.
We will host a half-day seminar and 2-day workshop for the Leica Stellaris 8 confocal microscope.
Lianne Dale (Leica Application Specialist) will provide seminars and hands-on sessions for specific applications.
