National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a federal statutory holiday in Canada. It is a day for us all to "recognize and commemorate the legacy of residential schools. This may present itself as a day of quiet reflection or participation in a community event."
Orange Shirt Day at UBC - Every Child Matters: Orange Shirt Day, September 30, is a day to honour and uphold Survivors and intergenerational Survivors of the Indian residential school system, and to commemorate those who didn’t return home.
