"Angert’s research addresses mechanisms that limit species’ geographic ranges, thereby informing vulnerabilities to warming
climate. Her investigations of adaptative breakdown at range edges integrate rigorous experiments with long‐term field data and impactful syntheses. She overturned the dogma that populations at range center have higher fitness than those at range periphery."
